God
Is the absolute and sole creator of all of creation. God exist eternally in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is Sovereign over all of creation and by His divine will and love for all people sent Jesus, the Son, into the world to save sinners.
Jesus Christ
Is the second person of the Trinity. Fully and eternally God, and through the Incarnation fully man. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. Jesus lived a sinless life and willingly died on the cross as a sacrifice for the sins of all mankind. He was raised from the dead and ascended into heaven where He nows sits at the right hand of God, as our High Priest and mediator between mankind and God.
The Holy Spirit
Is the third person of the Trinity, fully and eternally God. The Holy Spirit covicts people of their sin and their need for salvation. The Holy Spirit indwells believers, providing spirtual gifts and in leading, guiding, and empowering believers to live a life of holiness and service.
The Bible
We believe that the Bible, Old and New Testaments, is the Word of God, divinely inspired, without error in the origional Autographs. Authoratative and true in all it teaches. The Bible is the ultimate authority, given by God, in all matters of belief and conduct.
Mankind
We believe mankind is created in the image of God and as image bearers have inherit worth from conception until death. Due to the free will choice of all people, since Adam and Eve, our rebellion to God has earned us God's condemnation, wrath, and our death. That rebellion, which the Bible calls sin, has led mankind to reject the will of God, His truth, and to live in disobedience to God's commands.
Sin
Sin is rejection and rebellion towards God and His nature. Sin is mankind chosing to live life apart from the grace and love of God in disobedience to Him. All people are guilty of sin and the consequence of sin is death and eternal seperation from God. However it is still God's will and desire, because He is love, for all to come to repentance, admitting their sinfulness, submitting to God to be reconciled through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
Salvation
We believe salvation is the work of God saving people from the guilt, penalty, and death sin brings. This is accomplished through Jesus' sinless life, atoning death, and bodily resurrection from death. It is because of God's grace through Jesus Christ alone that people are redeemed and reconciled to God and freed from the consequence of our rebellion towards God.
Baptism
The Greek word for Baptism means "to immerse" and the Bible teaches that it is in Christian Baptism that one's sins are fogiven and the person receives the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. We are commanded by Jesus to go forth and Baptize, so in faithfulness to Scripture and God's plan of salvation those who beleive in Jesus, repent of their sins, confess Jesus as Lord, and are immersed for their salvation.
The Lord's Supper
We celebrate the Lord's Supper each week in rememberance of Jesus and in hopeful anticipation of His return when He will eat this meal again. All Christians are welcome to participate.
The Church
The Church is the Ekklessia (The called out ones) a people not a building. The Church is the Body of Christ composed of the faithful believers of all times around the world. Christians demonstrate their identities as believers in the universal church by being committed and rooted in a local community of Christians. Believers gather locally for bibilcal teaching, fellowship, communion, and prayer. The Church is God's chosen people who are to be light and salt in the world, to live counter culturally, to make disciples of all nations by sharing the Gospel of Jesus through preaching, holy living, and loving service to others.
The Return of Jesus
The Bible teaches of the second coming of Jesus where He will return personally, visibly, in glory and with all authority. Jesus will raise all from the dead for the final judgement. He will fully establish His Kingdom, complete the new creation with a new heaven and new earth. At that time all evil, sin, and death will be defeated forever. At the judgement seat of Christ the saved will enter eternal life with God in the Kingdom while the condemned will be eternally seperated from God in hell. Salvation from this condemnation is accomplished by accepting Jesus before His return.
